This year’s musical, Anything Goes, was a complete success! Featuring Kathleen Dormer as Reno Sweeney, the cast and crew put on three shows from November 3rd through November 4th. Set on the S.S. American in the 1930s, Anything Goes is a nautical adventure that includes love triangles, night club singers, and even a few public enemy stowaways. Songs such as “Bon-voyage”, “Blow Gabriel Blow”, “Friendship”, and the title “Anything Goes” were included in this smashing hit. The cast and crew worked restlessly for 2 months before opening night, learning songs and dances, reciting lines, and creating the beautiful set. On the final night of the show, Terry Vaughn, one of the directors recognized some who have truly excelled throughout their time in Sacred Heart productions. Included in this recognition were the characters Moonface Martin (Dante Lasting), Sir Evelyn Oakley (Ryan Storto), Billy (Elliot Morse), and Bonnie (Victoria Monetti). An outstanding stage director, Mimi Warner, was also given her turn in the spotlight for all of her hard work throughout her time at SHA. Make sure to come out next year to support the 2018 musical which is sure to be as amazing as Anything Goes!
