How to Handle Fourth Quarter

Veronica Sullivan, Student Life

It’s finally 4th Quarter! We are so close to summer, and hopefully, the weather will feel like summer too. However, school isn’t over yet. There is still work that needs to be done, and not to mention finals and regents. So, here are tips on how to handle 4th Quarter.
1. Work hard, because this is the last chance to do so. Now is the time to really excel in your courses. Some courses will be harder than others, since some are in review whereas others have plenty of work ahead. Either way, try to put a little bit of effort into your grades.
2. If you have something due at the end of 4th Quarter, try not to procrastinate. The last thing you want to worry about is finishing a big project at the end of the year. Try to get a head start, because it will be beneficial in the long run.
3. Don’t completely stress out. We don’t wanna overwork ourselves. A little bit of stress however can drive us forward, but too much can set us back. Don’t sweat the small stuff. If an issue you may be dealing with won’t matter in a year, the chances are that this is not worth stressing about.
4. Don’t be afraid to do something fun! Events such as spring sports are often fun to watch and can be stress relieving. It’s also a great opportunity to support your school. You still should work hard, but don’t be hesitant in choosing to have a little fun every once in a while. After all, it is 4th Quarter! You’re in the home stretch!
